COMMISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETING
The special meeting of the Hancock County Commissioners was brought to order by Commissioner Clark at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday December 29, 2020. Commissioner Wombacher, Commissioner Blasi, Commissioner-elect Paradis, County Administrator Scott Adkins and Deputy County Administrator Rebekah Knowlton were also in attendance. Due to Covid-19 social distancing requirements, the meeting was held remotely via Zoom.
Adjustments to / approval of agenda:
MOTION: add item 3C – a tutorial on the new laptops with IT Director (Clark/Blasi 3-0, motion passed)
MOTION: Acknowledge the resignation of Legal Secretary III Bruno da Silva, effective January 4, 2021 (Wombacher/Blasi 3-0, motion passed)
MOTION: District Attorney be authorized to advertise for a Legal Secretary III position (Clark/Blasi 3-0, motion passed)
MOTION: We establish the compensation for the elected treasurer at $200 per week and a single subscriber health plan with no other benefits to be effective the first pay week of 2021. I further move we pay off all the accrued benefits for the Treasurer in the final pay week of 2020. (Clark/Wombacher 3-0, motion passed)
MOTION: We direct the treasurer to forward all the material he has in his possession to the County Administrator relevant to the Climate to Thrive reimbursement agreement, the Covid-19 reimbursement program, the RFP for banking services and any drafts that he may have in his possession of the Internal Control Document. (Clark/ Blasi 3-0, motion passed)
Update – Counsel for Knowlton Tax Abatement Appeal to Superior Court
Rudman-Winchell has been secured as legal counsel in this matter.
IT Administrator Chuck Carter reviewed functions of the Commissioners’ laptops.
