Finance Assistant / Manager
The Hancock County Commissioners are accepting applications for an opening in the Finance / Treasury office. If you are an individual with a solid accounting education and work experience and are looking for career and leadership growth opportunities, you are encouraged to apply!
The successful candidate must be a strong self-starter and have the ability to work cohesively with department heads, employees and elected officials. This position is responsible for a variety of accounting / finance tasks relevant to the County’s finance office, as well as various administrative / HR tasks as assigned. Minimum requirements include:
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting / finance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think critically and effectively solve problems
- Capacity to adapt to changing environment and handle multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel and experience with accounting software (TRIO) is a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with County government experience.
