The Hancock County Commissioners are seeking bids for providing Propane for all County facilities including the Hancock County Courthouse, located at 50 State St Ellsworth, Maine and the Hancock County Airport located at 115 Caruso Drive Trenton, Maine. Contract will run from June 1, 2019 through June 1, 2022.
BIDS SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER:
Bids shall be submitted in writing, in sealed envelopes clearly marked “SEALED BID, PROPANE” and shall be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on, Friday May 24 2019, in the County Commissioners Office, 50 State Street, Ellsworth, Maine 04605. The bids will be opened publicly at the Commissioner’s convenience.
Bid Award will be based on a price per gallon for Propane delivered into (5) storage tanks at the County Courthouse Complex in Ellsworth. And (4) Storage tanks located at the Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport.
NOTE: It is not the intent of the standard bid to seek a fixed price per gallon, for a fixed period of time; rather, it is the intent of the standard bid process to gather current prices that would be charged for the fuel in a manner that is equitable to all firms bidding and that will allow for future increases and decreases in fuel prices.
