Hancock County Regional Communication Center serving a population of 54,659 and a staff of eight (8) dispatchers is seeking a Communications Director with a minimum of five years of management experience in emergency communications involving law enforcement, fire and rescue services. The successful applicant must have strong communications skills, CAD (Spillman preferred) and enhanced 9-1-1 experience.  The applicant should possess or have the ability to obtain all certifications & licenses required of a 911 dispatcher.  A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred, but appropriate experience will be substituted.  Experience in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and other Microsoft Office programs is a must.  The Director works cooperatively with of an advisory board of directors and reports directly to the County Administrator / County Commissioners.
