DIRECTOR / Hancock County Regional Communications Center
Hancock County Regional Communication Center, serving a population of 54,659, is seeking a Regional Communications Director. The successful applicant must have strong communications skills, CAD (Spillman preferred) and enhanced 9-1-1 experience. Preference will be given to an applicant who possesses or has the ability to obtain all certifications & licenses required of a 911 dispatcher. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered. Experience in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and other Microsoft Office programs is a must. The Director works cooperatively with of an advisory board of directors and reports directly to the County Administrator / County Commissioners. This position requires interaction with all agency local police, fire and emergency chiefs. Hancock County offers a competitive salary ($60 – 65,000) & benefit package including vacation / sick time and health insurance.
